About
Dr. Raghad Alsaka is a researcher and educator specializing in generative artificial intelligence in education, teacher preparation, and educational technology. She completed her Ph.D. in Education, Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis on Educational Technology at the University of Idaho in May 2026. Her doctoral dissertation examined how master’s and doctoral students experience and engage with generative AI tools in their academic work, using qualitative phenomenological methods.
She served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and Instructor at the University of Idaho from August 2023 to May 2026, teaching courses in children’s literature, contexts of education, elementary methods practicum, and learning, development, and assessment for undergraduate and graduate preservice teachers. Her paper on preservice teachers’ prompting practices in generative AI was recognized with the Best Paper Award from Instructional Technology SIG 52 at the 2026 American Educational Research Association (AERA) Annual Meeting.
